Design & Beautification Committee

PURPOSE

The Design & Beautification Committee plays a key role in shaping the physical image of the downtown as a place that is attractive to shoppers, investors, business owners, and visitors, through a variety of place making programs. The committee provides recommendations to the Downtown DuBois Board of Trustees with regard to short and long term programs.

    GOALS

The Design & Beautification Committee works with the City of DuBois, the Redevelopment Authority, the Downtown DuBois Executive Director and Board, as well as downtown businesses and property owners to facilitate a positive visual image of Downtown DuBois that will enhance our thriving, vibrant community center. The Design Committee will focus on downtown aesthetics and appearance, working on matters such as way-finding signage, attractive window displays, parking areas, street furniture, sidewalks, and landscaping. The Design Committee will instill good maintenance practices within the district and work with the appropriate municipal departments to achieve goals.

      MEETING TIMES:

      EVENTS:

Team members are asked to attend a monthly 1-hour meeting to plan our upcoming events.  Members are asked to volunteer leading up to and/or on the day of events in any of the following key areas: Pre-event planning and coordination, event day execution of specific roles and responsibilities, post-event clean-up.

Every event we do has many details that need executed in order to produce a quality event.  If you like events and planning, this is a wonderful opportunity to get involved!
